Economists

by Arop k. Kwol
(Southern Sudan)

As you see above I'm econmonists but I'm intersting to become a pilot one day and I'm already 40 years old. Do you think that it's okay to learn at this age? For math and phyics no problem......

Regards,
Arop

Answer: It is never too late to learn to fly. What it may be too late for is learning to fly in order to make a career out of it, but that all depends on what type of flying you wish to do. If you are looking to fly for a major airline, than yes I think 40 is too old to start learning how to fly (it takes approx 10-15+ years to make it to the majors). if you just want to fly bush/cargo planes than no 40 is not to old to begin learning to fly. If you just want to fly for your own enjoyment while continuing to be an economist, than 40 is definitely not too old to learn to fly.

Hope this helps!
