Have you always wanted to learn how to fly?

Actually, no I didn't. When we were growing up, it was my older brother who wanted to be a pilot. Still to this day he has not flown an airplane!

My flying bug began when I was in the Army. We did a lot of heliborne and airborne missions and this is when I wanted to learn to fly.

The day in particular was when the helos dropped us off 35 kilometres from our target and we had to hump in, while the pilots went back to camp and ate decent food and slept in comfortable beds.

If you are interested in flying for the military then please visit my Air Force Pilot Training page.
