What are the challenges involved in becoming a pilot?

WOW, what a question!

I guess it depends on who YOU are. Some people, who want to become pilots, have a fear of flying or heights. This definitely poses a challenge for them.

If you have a fear of flying you can get help. See the free video here.

Other challenges are

  • apttitude (not everyone is cut out for flying),
  • money (learning to fly is expensive),
  • time (depending on the type of license you want you might be looking at upwards of 200 hours of flight time)
  • quality of instruction or airplane (there are some shady operators out there who are just after your money)
  • weather (where I am weather was a big factor. We have bad weather 60% of the time!)

These are but a few challenges you could face on your journey. Please take the time to research what type of license/permit you want, as well as your instructor and the flight school.
